Grading

Our club does grading twice a year at the end of Semester 1 and at the end of Semester 2 of University.

The specific requirements for each belt level differ, however, for all grading it is expected you perform kata and applications (bunkai).

The details for each grading are:

 4 applications from each kata plus continuous free flow of 6th kata applications $55
7th Kyu Orange Belt with Stripe Pinan 2 (ni)  8 applications from the kata plus continuous free flow $60
6th Kyu Green Belt Pinan 1 (sho)  8 applications from the kata plus continuous free flow $65
5th Kyu Green Belt with Stripe Tensho  8 applications from the kata plus continuous free flow $70
4th Kyu Blue Belt Pinan 3 (sandan)  8 applications from the kata plus continuous free flow $75
3rd Kyu Blue Belt with Stripe Pinan 4 (yondan)  8 applications from the kata plus continuous free flow $80

How to Book a Grading Session

Grading is done during training, usually at the end of semester 1 and semester 2. If you feel you are ready to grade (even if it isn’t end of semester) then talk to any of our committee members during training or contact us here.
