Welcome

Are you wanting to improve your fitness and learn some self defense?

You have found the right club!

Melbourne University Karate Club is one of the oldest karate clubs in Australia, our karate style is based mainly on the Shuri-te (Okinawan)/Shotokan (Japanese), whilst incorporating other forms of martial arts such as ba gua (Chinese martial art) and savate (French kick boxing).

Our trainings are fun and practical, giving our students a chance to both learn katas and the practical applications of the katas.
